40 jaar AB

For the 40th anniversary of the concert hall AB, Studio Brussel presenter Rik De Bruycker asked me to build a special gift: A trophy with speakers inside that plays a congratulatory message.

The trophy was designed with Fusion360 and then engraved and cut with a Trotec Speedy 300 lasercutter. A defect microphone was later added.

The internal electronics were an Arduino Mini, a DFPlayer Mini MP3 player, a small speaker and a battery charging circuit. A button was available on top to play back the message.
